Before you login
There are two different ways to login to Open Canvas for Penn Learners: PennPath Users and Other Users. If you’re not sure which you are, this may help.
- Are you a current undergraduate or postgraduate student at Penn? You might use either PennPath Users or Other Users to login. Please do not create a new PennPath account if you are not sure which login option is for you. If you do not know which option to use, ask your course administrator or email lib-opencanvas@pobox.upenn.edu for assistance.
- Did you register and pay for your course via the Online Learning Initiative website? If so, you will likely use the PennPath Users option to login.
- If you are not a current Penn student, you did not register through the Online Learning Initiative website, and you have not been told by your course administrator that you have a PennPath account, you will likely use the Other Users option to login. You can use these instructions:
